Here are a few images I took from a 24/7 recycling plant in North Las Vegas....that the UP serves everyday

Captured a few images there the other night. The Amtrak depot has apparently been closed for a few years, at least since 2000 or perhaps earlier. There is a passenger waiting room just a block from the station, in a converted tattoo parlor.

Caught these two old US military cars, the first one, a former SAC (Strategic Air Command) missle testing car The second one an old US Army 40' boxcar, with a builders date of 1943. Both taken last year out at Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, UT.

Circa 1983, at Walong (Tehachapi Loop) an SP freight with at least 8-9 locos on the point.

Newhall pass located here in SoCal...right underneath the Interstate 5 and 14 Freeway interchanges...taken earlier this year...in the spring time. The tunnel this freight exited is about 1 mile long.

Taken October of 1984, the FP45 is on the point of an eastbound ATSF hotshot through the Mojave Desert. It is about 15 miles or so east of Barstow,CA., near "Jim Grey" siding.
