Adding Scenery to N Trak Module

Been plugging away slowly at the scenery on my NTrak modules. The left module being the hardest as I have a river running across it. The river was the pacing item. I had to have that completed before adding the many bridges and track work. Think I have the river part well underway, just...

    Bachmann Service

I am realy impressed with the service I received from Bachmann Service. My N scale Spectrum 2-6-6-2 Challenger released all it's factory installed smoke (burned out) when something went wrong with the Clubs electrical system at a recent show. I took it apart and found the motor was seized...

    Double heading

Took me a while to come up with a solution to double head my N scale Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0s. That dinky little non functioning coupler on the engine is only there for looks and the only way possible to couple two engines was with a draw bar connection I configured. Worked great, made a...

    Wasted detail

I did enjoy detailing the inside of this logging camp mess hall for my NTRak module. I put in two large skylight windows hoping most of the detail would be visible and I also have a warm white LED inside that I can wire up.

    Careless LPB's

I don't know why I went to all the trouble of building eight bunk houses when the LPBs are so careless. This I am adding to my base logging camp on my NTrak module. It will be a conversation piece at least.

    Help need an animated waterfall

I am working on several NTrak modules and I would like to have an animated waterfall. I know you have all seen the lighted pictures of Niagra Falls in shopping malls, the one where it looks like the water is flowing in the picture. Is something like that possible on a module? Tried several...

Update on my "N" track modules

Love rainy days, get to work on my modules. Made some castings using the molds I made from the rock I borrowed. Started added the rock outcroppings to the left module, this one will be heavily forested and the right one will be an example of early day clear cut. (Still casting my roots...

    Laying out NTrak modules

Starting to plan the track work for my two new NTrak modules. Going for a logging scene and will be switchbacking up from the blue line to the mountain division. Using a 5% grade for the 3" of rise. Nothing in the picture is anchored. I have everything pinned in place continually rearranging...

    Some train show pics

Valley NTrak participated in the Cheshire, CT. train show with a 22 by 30 ft layout. Very active day, we met many interested and interesting people. Our 16 foot setup yard was very busy all day. We had the younger viewers counting well past fifty as freight cars passed them.

    Walk thru "N" gauge module

I finished up the walk thru gate module in time for our first show. Finishing touches were some scenery to the two tower tops. The buildings are held in place with magnets and are easily removed when breaking it down for transporting. Everything gets stored neatly inside the towers. I did...

N scale building collection for sale

I am in contact with a elderly gentleman who is interested in selling off his "N" scale collection of buildings and structures. There is close to three hundred, if not more, buildings and structures. He has lost interest, after 20 years of collecting, because of his eyesight. I was tryng to...

    Weekend show

Yesterday our club was hired to set up a display and run trains for a large corporation's family Christmas Party. It was a fantastic show and the attendance of children as well as parents was overwhelming. Wished we knew beforehand that we could have had as much room as we wanted, as it was...
