Hello and welcome to Zealot. You have come to the right place for ALL THINGS SCI-FI. We have many members who are into SCI-FI (myself included). So I hope that you will feel at home here.
The white glue should not bother your wife at all. I would also suggest getting water colour paints for painting the edges.

If you have any photos of any of the models that you have built, by all means, please post them (WE LOVE SEEING PHOTOS!:D)

With the paper models that you have now, if you can, please post a build thread. Build threads are a great way of showing off your skills and talents, as well as highlighting problem areas that you may need help with.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, need help or advice, please feel free to ask and we will do what we can to help you (or at least point you in the right direction).

Once again, welcome aboard. I hope that you enjoy yourself here. I am looking forward to seeing your work!!!

Hello and welcome to Zealot! :)

My grandfather had COPD, too. It is such a nasty disease. Greetings to her! :)

I'd love to see some of your previous plastic models, though. You could put them in a gallery. Make yourself comfortable here and have fun and enjoy! :)

May I ask, which models do you have in the queue?

aas for the better half, yea it's hard to work on things ,but summers comming and i can do stuff outside so the smell will not bother her

Welcome aboard! There is a Glue called "Zip Dry" which is non-toxic" and Lignen free. while it does have a slight odor, itis not toxic, but that does not mean it won't bother her. My son has asthma, I do too, and so does my wife. We have to be careful too. Welcome to Zealot, and feel to posts anything, including your plastic models, you have previously built, we would like to see them. :)
