GOOD EVENING ALL
A nice day around 81, and we had our daily downpour about an hour ago. Not much going on at the train store very little used coming in and even less new. So I did not go, just did a few things around here. Have a good tomorrow. Oh guys I use Preen in the garden,it really keeps out most of the weeds but you must wait until the seeds you want have started before using it....S.J.

Went up to Kerr Lake. Guy said Rolesville was getting stormed on per radar and TV. Got back ans dry as a bone.
Well, I did it. Bargined for the lake house. 3 bedrooms but only one bath, office room, big livingroom, big kitchen, front and back deck. Car port [two car], out building big enough to store a boat [but will use as storage], Storage building and metal boat storage building [will hold both big boats]. New JD mower [bigger than mine], 21 foot Mayko center console with Yahama 200 [radar, GPS and depth finder] and 28 foot pontoon boat with Johnson 90. Also golf cart. House comes furnished and even wide screen HD TV. Lot is 1.1 acres [lots of mowing]. Got one boat slip and private ramp. Later

Good morning.

It's 75 and mostly clear here. We're expecting a high in the low 90's with a chance of thunderstorms later.

Nothing special going on today. I went to my parents place for lunch yesterday. Lunch consisted of BLT's and chips. They had theirs on wheat bread, i had mine on sourdough. I hope we get some rain soon. The grass is starting to look a very unhealthy yellow tinge. The only other thing that went on was we had a call-out for a grass fire in Evans.

Good morning folks

It is 75 F on the way in this morning. High is supposed to be 84 F. Since I want to conduct an outdoor scout meeting tonight we are supposed to get heavy rain and are under a Flash Flood Watch. I don’t know why I came into work today. We have no water in the building due to a water main break. Also no air conditioning in a sealed building. Current temperature in my office is 78 F and climbing with no air circulation.

No modeling last night. We had to go out and look at a new kitchen table and chair set. We are about to lose another chair on our current set. We are down one and half right now. I have been able to repair the backs before but it has reached the point where there is not enough good wood left. We found a nice set and it goes on sale today.

As I mentioned above we have a Cub Scout meeting tonight and my daughter has her last basketball game of the regular season. We are not sure if they have playoffs.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Congratulations, Chief! Sunny and cooler here - more like Sept. than July. Long day of meetings. I'm experimenting more with the use of figures in operating the layout.

hi guys, nice and sunny today, not sure what im going to do today, i may get the motorcycle out and ride the 60 miles one way to the club and work on my modules. or i may take a ride on the bike and do some rail fanning. im just starting to get into this.

Air came on about an hour ago. It hit 81 F just before it came on. Right now it is barely tolerable. We now have porta potties in the parking lot. Nothing but the best for us government workers.

High seventies and building up to the usual afternoon thunderstorm. The air is dead still at the moment, which means all H*** will break lose shortly and I will have to shut down everything electrical.

Too bad I can't tap into all that energy that goes flying around.

Light workload today even for Job#1, Job#2 in the morning will be fun as I get to do some serious pc building from a pile of discombobulated systemssign1
I have lost 2 of the 3 pounds I gained over the weekend:rolleyes: bouncing from 247 to 250ish now that I am at an exceptable weight I have to get in shape:cry:

Nothing new trainwise.

Sir James and I think the prices are going up on ebay - usually this is the time to buy stuff as the prices are coming down? Looks like stuff is selling though. Oh well, shopping is 90 percent of the fun for me right now as I wait for Lionel to ship all my remaining preordered stuff at the same time and cause me to be sleeping on the couch, instead of spreading it out a little like they SAID they would ;)

Good Evening
A nice day at 81, no a/c kept the house open, feels good. Also cut the grass to take advantage of the nice weather.
Yep, Brutus and I were talking about bay prices and it seemed even though summer usually brings prices down that did not happen this year and s/h is definitely up. Have a great tomorrow....S.J.

Hello All. Had a good day today other than it raining all day. Work went by really fast as there was really nothing to do. Just talked to a few people around the building. Came home and been on the computer since checking everything out that I missed while at work. Hope everyone had a great day today.

Good night all. Busy day here. Had 1.1 inches of rain this afternoon. BE prepared as Microsoft XP service pack 3 takes over 2 hours to download and install [on Road Runner]. Sleep tight.

Good morning.

It's 74 and very cloudy here and not a drop of rain yet. The high is expected to be around 90 and there's a chance of thunderstorms. That'll probably be a bunch of dry rumbles, again.

A friend sent me a smooth-side baggage car. It appears to be the same type as the 1:1 baggage car on the edge of the KCS yard in Leesville. I'll have to make a couple of modifications to it, such as cut away the diaphragms and remove the glass from the doors (the real car has none). Then I can get started on painting it to look like the one in Leesville. That'll give me the derelict railcar I want for an abandoned spur.

Chief,
I suggest using IE7 when downloading Microsoft stuff, I got XP service pack 3 within a few minutes [I presume you are on broad band]. I suspect there is some skulduggery afoot in the ether as odd things happen with my Firefox/Thunderbird.

Good morning folks

It is 71 F and calmer this morning. High will be 84 F. We had a wild weather evening last night. We had lots of spectacular lighting with ground shaking thunder. The rain came down in buckets. My property is littered with medium to small size branches that fell during the storms. Getting to work was interesting with the road closures and downed trees and branches. Also crossing some main intersections was interesting without traffic lights.

We had to move our Cub Scout meeting indoors last night due to the weather. That meant we were not able to do some of the games we wanted and the meeting was more chaotic than I had hoped for. My daughter’s basketball team won again. They finished the season 10 and 0. First time she has ever been on an undefeated team.

No modeling last night.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Crikey! 250 lbs, you must be under tall, you need to be over seven foot for that weight.[BMI 25]

I'm 5' 6" 177 lbs [BMI 30], should be 6' 0".:eek:ops:

I think I may have to sell Lionel!!!
Tell you later.
