Long time no see but don't be afraid, I've been watching forum for a while in "ninja mode" :)
Last year I promised myself that 2018 will be "strategic bomber year" and it's time to make it real. It will be a time streached tread but topic is worth it. First effects of work: bomb bay central support, made out of paper and wires. Bay doors engines are made from toothpicks pieces ;)b2_bomb_bay_01_low.jpg

Zathros, hope I wount messup anything. Theres very poor photographic documentation available so I might need to improvise lot of stuff. If anyone of You have any pics showing wheel wells or engine bays (or any other details of this machines) I would be very happy to see them.

"Ninja mode" - great term, it makes me laugth:).

Superb work here. I like these "modern" planes (SR-71 (not so young:)), F-117, this one),

I will watch this build with pleasure.

Little off topic question. This is plastic model. I want to build this plane (and SR-71) from paper for long time but I am not sure if paper can make justice to this planes with lots of compound curves. So I still hesitate and can not decide.

Did someone see finished paper models of this planes in person? How does it look?

Ken L. West, I believe(name?), made a superb SR-71, available at ECardmodels, I believe.

Exactly, that is the model of SR-71 I have. If I will ever do it I will downsize it first. 1 meter long model is too much for me:)

It is still a highly secret aircraft so artistic license is justified. The rear of the plane is secret and not allowed to be photographed when it is on the ground. Take a look at the YF-23 to get some clues about how Northrup Grumman exhausts the engines. For interiors, maybe look at the B-1 for some tips. They are from the same era.

@JanMarciniak I think that you are off to a good start. if the photo that you posted is any indicator of how the finished product will be like, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing how it will turn out.
