Well, almost. I still want to build a proper base for it and possibly add an interior light. But three months of evenings has been well worth it.

Typically for Uhu02's offerings, the LEM is beautifully drawn and the fit and finish are very good. I scaled it up from 1/48 to 1/35, because I could. I used some photo overlays for the instrument panel, since the scaled-up kit parts were a bit fuzzy. Everything else scaled up well.

I used a lot of brush-on superglue to strengthen the narrow bits and fussy joints and I used tiny rare earth magnets and bits of steel to hold the two halves of the body together and to hold the top hatch shut.

A big, big "thank you!" to Uhu02 for making this kit available.

Excellent job!! Scaling it up to that size open many possibilities for display. It would have been nice to see some build pics, you work so meticulously. The Magnets and brushing on of crazy glue makes for a easily displayable model. Thanks for posting your great build. :)

You have done an OUTSTANDING JOB on this project!
I like that you upscaled this like you have. You have opened it to adding that much more detail and greebling.
I am looking forward to seeing what kind of display you make for it.

Great work! I know well what kind of gratification is when you finish such a big project and can stare at your baby enjoying the long awaited moment of the last piece added...
But you are really a fast builder. Currently my building time measure unit is the YEAR!!!! :(

That is Fantastic! I can see it on a base of fine sand with the iconic "astronaut footprints all around it"!!
:Bravo:
