Will you build it "as is" or change the colours to make a Ralph McQuarrie style fighter?

I'm just gonna build it as Poe's Blue ship that got blasted in the beginning of TFA... I like that color scheme better than his black and orange .
There is a resin 1/24th scale McQuarrie X-Wing available... but expensive.

Even if I had the money, I do not know if I would spend it on a model :). I would rather build it from scratch anyway, that is what I love on model making:). Finished model is just space eater and dust colector ;).
