Have now ordered four times from them - shipped to Uk promptly and without problems. I always keep an eye them for possible cheap 0n30 fodder.

    How old are you? Revisited

I'm one whose birthday was August 1945 - so I chose the 1945 - 1950 era. Doesn't seem to make me as old as the 1940 - 1945 lot !

    Beware the Silent Killer

How strange - last week in the UK my GP checked my BP at 150/80 - that's fine he says. This morning at the Endicrinologists, they check the BP and it's 187/80 -That's fine they say! So who's right, your GPs or Mine?

Instead of looking at the Nikon D80, look at the new D60 series - comes with a useful lens with built in antishake.

    Adding "line" detail to locos

You'll find that their lining sets will include the boiler bands. Give them an email claifying what you want and they'll see you right! Have you seen http://www.mandgn.co.uk/B12_1.html - nice shot of a B12 in LNER Apple green

    Adding "line" detail to locos

How about doing what we do? Go to Fox transfers and get some of his lining sheets - saves a load of hassle. My recommendation of gel Pens was made in relation to the raised boiler bands on locos - not for loco lining. https://www.fox-transfers.co.uk/index2.html

    Adding "line" detail to locos

I have a set of 'Gel' pens which have silver and gold among their colours. Both are admirable for applying banding to locos. One word of warning - the colour will smear or rub off if handled - I've yet to find a setting solution that won't add to the problem.

    Attempt to solder rails together...

Well one thing I would suggest is to change the pointed tip for a small chisel tip to get a greater transfer of heat to your rails. I'd also run a drop of flux where you want to solder.
