    I have an idea on a safety device to prevent runaways. there would be a sensor in the engineer's seat that would override the throttle, and apply brakes if the engineer wasn't in the seat for longer than 10 or 15 minutes, while in motion. I don't know if this has already been invented or not...

    no I can't say I remeber a whold lot, I do remember beiln in roanoke in the summer of 67 and seeing a train come in with parts of a GP9 and a highnosed SD35 coming in on flatcars, don't recall numbers though. maybe the same incident?? Hmmm.
