    Barnhart loader question

As far as I know there is no kit for a Barnhart Loader in O scale. I wish there were.

    Adirondack sawmill questions

William Gove's new book, "Logging Railroads in the Adirondacks" came out two weeks ago. It is a great resource with lots of good info, maps and pic's on 20 some lines. There is a whole chapter on the Emporium and Grasse River operations. The first section is somewhat general on logging...

    Log buggies

I have never assembled one. One of these days I'm sure. They are metal and wood. If you narrow them they may not be able to have the rails for the loader on top.

Last Steam Powered Saw Mill In Canada

Very interesting. Neat story. What is the loader in the picture, if you know? Is it origional and restored or replica? It would be great if they had parking that was a little bit away from the buildings. All of the late model cars kind of are a distraction in the images.

    Friday's rail car..

Nice file conversion. I would be interested in seeing a nice collection of these along with the photos of the cars they are from for modeling purposes. Sure put your files up here in one topic to collect and share them. It is my understanding that many of the older graffitti sprayers know...

Buying real wheel sets for a project

Thanks for the tip. I am just trying to get a start on this and price things out and see what is reasonable. It might mean a trip back to planning.

Buying real wheel sets for a project

I am interested in purchasing four actual railroad wheel sets with axels for a landscaping project. Does anyone have advise on where to get a start on this?

    Adirondack sawmill questions

I found a K-line 3 rail TMCC Shay that will soon be relettered as Emporium #37. I had to wait until I could find one under $400. OUCH blew my budget for this year. It was only small consolation seeing the former $800 price tag on the box when I got it. But it will make 31 inch radius curves...

Info on the Railcar/railbus???? from Grasse River

That Moter Car started in Lancaster so it is appropriate that it return there. It seems to be the last car running any regular service of both the Lancaster Oxford and Southern Who built it and the Grasse River. The other Railbus (or one of the Six) was a real 1931 White bus converted to run...

    seattle monorail?

I think there are only the Two trains. They seem be having an incredible stretch of bad luck the last few years. There was a fire in one last year and they had a hard time evacuating. They are the original, quite old Alweg trains that have been going since the 1960's when the World's Fair was...

    Adirondack sawmill questions

Here is a link to a very optimistic preproduction ad for the Evans Autorailer. The Grasse River had a very used one of these rare birds in the later years. It was used in passenger service and to get loggers to the worksite. Going to work in high art deco style. First the fantasy...

Thanks to another forum member I've learned that the Pennslyvania RR Museum in Strasburg have begun reprinting the "Whining saws...." as well as the rest of the Logging Railroad Era of Lumbering in Pennsylvania series...

Is there an online site that has Baldwin build pics

Thank you very much for the prompt and helpful reply. I think I was looking in the wrong places. These sites are perfect exactly what I need to get started on this project. I was not even sure if the images still existed as a whole or if they had been lost with the dissolution of the company...
