If you're looking for a single answer, try a 4-6-2 Pacific locomotive. It was very commonly used to pull heavyweight passenger trains. Now, of course, someone else will probably suggest that a 4-8-4 Northern is your best bet. Just have fun!!
Hi George,
My email address is tom@greenleafmed.com. Tell me where to send the dome seating section, and I'll get it into the mail. Shipping should be very inexpensive; you can pay me when you get the part.
Best wishes,
Tom
I'm putting some roads onto a layout that I bought, and it would make my life much easier if I could find some premade curved grade crossings in 18", 20". and 22" radius. Can anyone help? Thanks.
I realize that this is an old message, so the following information may be irrelevant: There is a drive-in kit up for auction on ebay. It's not mine; I just saw it.
A few years back, I designed a coupler spring made of shape-memory alloy that could be activated via DCC, but I never put it into practice. I did see that someone else had, but I can't find the site. You might look into that instead of using an electromagnet.
Yes, I believe that you could get $15 or so for unassembled OK Herkimer kits. Best of luck on selling them. I sell items on ebay and usually I get about what I think things are worth. I intend to list the Kasiner cars soon.
I have a small collection of Kasiner extruded aluminum cars and one Rail Chief Magnesuim (I think) car. The Kasiners are quite similar to the OK Herkimer Cars.

Thanks for the info, Jules. It's not quite what I'm looking for. Fortunately, I found some rolls of 2.5 inch wide, one-eighth inch thick rubber on ebay that might do the trick. I'll let you know.
