    Dan's Layout

Hey Dan, a suggestion for the East corner. I see that you have a step in your table work construction. Have you thought about taking advantage of it by using this for a side of one of your flats, creating some depth to the building. Basically I'm thinking of an L-shaped building front, maybe...

    On Track, with Deano

Deano, That's awesome! I didn't think there were any bandits left around at all! Have always been a fan of the Milwaukee Road and of course MP15's because of their uniqueness. Same with the GP30's. Sounds like you did make some amazing finds. Guess I should get into Janesville more often...

Finally, the "Pictures at 11:00" or quick, Noah, get the boat...

Wayne, thanks for the link. With regards to my comment about the shore line, I think underbrush would help. With regards to the high water line I was referring to the fact that quite often along rivers you'll see an area that's been eroded away by high water (leaves kind of a stony rocky look...

Thought I ought to Introduce Myself

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. If you want to see any more pics of the 1.5" scale stuff let me know, I'd be more than happy to upload. The module has really been at a stand still due to working on the big stuff, college, moving, first job etc... but I'm really looking forward to getting...

Thought I ought to Introduce Myself

I'm a member of the Milwaukee Light Engineer Society which has a club park out in the town of Jackson (about 15-20 min north of Milwaukee). There's also a club up near you that I usually visit once or twice a year in Hudson, WI just across from the Twin Cities.

Need help with a smaller than usual HO layout...

Excellent advice about the "staging" track. You may also want to think about what industries you'd like to model. It would help determin what kind of tracks to lay out where, although for the space you have you are doing well. -Nick

Thought I ought to Introduce Myself

Hello everyone! Figured I ought to introduce msyelf. I've been in some form of model railroading or another as long back as I can remember. My Dad and I have been talking trains since I was born. Since I grew up in the Milwaukee area I'm a pretty big Milwaukee Road, CNW, SOO LINE, and...

First off I absolutely love the 2nd and 6th pictures. Very realistic looking/good angle photography. As I've been procrastinating with working on scenery I can't really say anything except that it looks great! If there was any one thing that looks a little off its the shore (sand) from your...

    Engine Pics & Train Stuff...

I have to hand it to you Deano your weathering looks great. It's just the right amount to give everything a realistic appearance without going over board. Really nice work, I've been scared stiff to weather my units, I'll probably wait until after I've finished scenicing the RR.

Good Source of Motive Power and Rolling Stock Photos

Awhile back I stumbled upon an excellent source of photos for just about every railroad and its equipement from the obscure to the class A lines. It's an especially good source when wanting to detail out certain locomotive numbers. Hope you all find it as enjoyable as I have...

    Lurkers:

I'm one of those lurkers as well. Been checking out the site now for a couple of months. I've got a 2' x 7' city module that I built. But I've been putting off scenicing it for years. Stumbled upon this site while looking for tips and tricks. Seems there is a wealth of information here and I...
