So, what does your wife think?

My husband tries to pretend he is not interested but when I need a bridge built, or a forrest laid out he's right there with the glue.

That's a great idea, could actually use a wider selection of animals then and they wouldn't be as fragile. Thanks!

    Introduction and question

Hi-I'm a total N scale newbie, and pretty much a model train newbie, we have done one lay out-HO scale, for a friends child--that was so much fun I asked Santa for my own train, and got it. Its a N scale bachmann Iron Duke. My husband bought it for me and now I need to figure out what kind of...

    Christmas present pictures

Oh man, got a call last night, found JT sleeping under his train table where he had played himself out--he hasn't left the trains except to eat and sleep in two days.

Depends on what you mean by "fun"? The company was great, well until we discovered that Christmas Eve is not the best time to move an eight foot long table top--would have been okay had it not rained. Setting up lasted only until about 3am, then it was a quick trip home and wrapping my own kids...

Lots of "creative" license taken. Trees came from an old christmas tree, popsicle stick bridge, wal-mart houses, and hand-made stuff.

    Is this right?

Should I attach the tunnel to the base permenantly or is there a less permenant option? There is a rerailer in the tunnel and the clearance on both trains is fine--at least on test runs. We have not attached the outside track and are having trouble with the theory on the turntable none of us...

    newbie help

I guess I should have said that the foster son I'm complaining about is now 21 and been in the military for 3 years and in our lives for about 6 years. I should have asked for help when I first found the guage instead of getting in to trouble and then asking. You can bet that when I start...

    Is this right?

I've been trying to build a base for a preformed tunnel--and I can't tell if it looks okay. Keep in mind that nice answers are not required and that this track is for a six year old for Christmas and needs to be done by then. We spent longer preparing to start than intended and are working 6-7...
