I have the CTA PCC, at first it didn't run so good, I just oiled it up a touch and after about a 1/2 hour, it runs really nice now. I'm looking to get a few more and paint them the colors of the Brooklyn NY colors. Heres the link to one I bought and put the motor kit in for my three rail O scale...

    Curve Question:

I really don't want any mountains, I want to keep it all NYC. I'm going to use those two story house fronts along the two sides and rear. I typical elevated in the outer boughs. Thanks for the idea though. .

    Curve Question:

If you look at the pictures of the slot car layout above, you will notice train track rises 2 1/4 inches within 27 inches and curves. All made of flex track. I ran the subways and one freight train, UP engine with four cars. Once I worked out the kinks, both types of trains ran fine in both...

    Curve Question:

The cars are 6 3/4 long. If I can run that jersey set or teh LIRR set on the lower outside line thats cool, if not, I'll have to get over it. My main concern is the subways. .

    Curve Question:

Yeah, all the cars are the same, and they are all motorize. I think all this will work out fine. .:thumb:

    Curve Question:

Ya, I guess it going to have to push the three non motored cars down. I'm lucky I can pull this off. I sure don't have room for another ramp. I think all will work out fine. I'll save this link and post some pictures as I go. I want to cut the yard switches and shorten them up so I can fit...

    Curve Question:

I can't do the shelf thing. The shelf would have to be 63 inches high. I also have two doors and a window in the way. I'm thinking the best way to go is with the 18 inch curves and two crossovers with the ramp coming off the 18" snap switches in the rear. The ceiling is 83 1/2" high. The...

    Curve Question:

OK, I'm going to fool around with this plan. My next question is.. going with Jetrocks idea of moving the ramp switches to the curves, and going with 18", (pictured below) what is the name of the switches I need to do that? How would I ask for them in the store? Also the yard switches? Thanks...

    Curve Question:

OK, I get it. My next question is this... If an 18" curve takes up 36 inches, why can't I use another 18" set of curves with a piece of straight track in the center of it to get the outer line 2 inches further out? Thus, not having to use 22's and max out my space. This way I could have one...

    Curve Question:

    So an 18" curve, takes up 36" ? .

    Curve Question:

When you say a 22" curve, or an 18" curve, does the number represent the width of the circle? One of the choices below?
  15. MCD4x4

    Curve Question:

Maybe this will help, The sides are a 1/2" high, if the ramp can come off the curve and be that high by the time it hits the back, the ramp can actually be above the side rail which would give us another 2" in the back, making it 49 1/4" deep. Would that hook a brother up? Would the extra 2"...
