My tricopter build and other related bits.

You need all three rotors to keep the model in the air - the CoG is more or less right under the control board which is placed in the centre of the model. If one of the motors/props is taken out then it will drop out of the air like a rock. More motors gives more speed for the most part (the...

Effective Immediately Re; Picture Photo uploads

There are some sites that use a script to copy the images to a local folder then modify the links in the user's post to point to the local image. Only issue is copyright but the addition of a disclaimer is pretty straightforward.

My tricopter build and other related bits.

I've only ever worked on a gasser once, it was bloody intimidating. Back when I was a kid the RC gear was prohibitively expensive for me. I still got books from the library on building RC planes but I put it aside as a pipe-dream years ago. I built a lot of rubber-band powered free-flight planes...

My tricopter build and other related bits.

Rather than repeat my build logs verbatim here I'll present a few photos of the stuff I've done with links to the various builds: 1. Tricopter build and transmitter modifications: https://martinus.org.uk/main/?q=node/6 2. Flying wing and mini speedster foam-board builds...

How do you "paint" the edges of your parts?

Someone used the technique you describe, zathros, (and some coloured pencils) to great effect when building my Ebon Hawk model. I'll have to try it with my next model.

    The Uhu02 appreciation thread

I'm glad I poke my head into Zealot every once in a while. I must admit I've been out of the paper modelling loop for quite some time and was curious to see what kind of models people were building. Stumbling onto Zealot member's builds of Uhu02's work has been an absolute pleasure! Astounding...

    Looking for the Ebon Hawk

I suck I just finished the instructions for the Ebon Hawk after pretty much two years: http://martinux.deviantart.com/#/d32hfs2 I know I suck. I was amazed to find this dude had already completed it without the instructions: http://loki51.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2co2wf Enjoy and sorry for...

    Looking for the Ebon Hawk

Hope you guys don't mind me bumping this thread after so long but I've completed and uploaded part two of the model. I've a few more parts to cover in part three but that's the lion's share of the construction covered. Please feel free to review the instructions and point out anything that...

    KotOR ships?

I don't believe you understood my point at all. I said that I think DRM and piracy is going to happen regardless of how much control someone wants. I will not however be party to it myself. A PDO by its very nature contains a model and texture that I have no legal right to distribute. Even the...

    KotOR ships?

It's already in the other thread here Paragon, didn't want to spam up the board. I guess I could just put it my signature. :) If you don't mind could you expand on your point about consolidation? Do you mean fit more parts per-page? If so, I decided that since printer ink is the expensive part...

    KotOR ships?

Sorry to bump a thread that's been here for a while but can I just say I am laughing to myself at the minute. :) I wanted a model of the Hawk when the game came out and periodically, when I could remember, I googled and scoured modding forums to see if anyone had ripped the model from the...
