    Guess who?

Kampfflieger, This is a stumper - It has lines similar to a Fokker D.VIII, but is a two seater. French markings - Nieuport maybe - but couldn't find anything there. Olkhovskij Torpedo - close but no cigar. I am still searching :o) Loadmat

Paper Boy, I am in the planning stages of building some Tinclads, both side and stearn wheel boats are available that took an active part in the riverine patrols during the American Civil War. Do you know if the Smithsonian has drawing for Tinclads, and how much was the design cataloge for the...

Johnny, Do you use layer of discs to make the tires? And if so, are the outside discs on each side of the tire's center cut out to allow for the rims to recess into the tire? It looks great - was wondering about the method you use. Thanks Greg

    Civil War Ironclad Source(s)?

I just talked with PMI about an order - yes it's still for sale - I've been to his place - wish I had $90K, great inventory, S-O-A printers, and permission with a couple of the european publishers to reproduce their products stateside. He still is in business, and adds new items often. loadmat

New and excited to be here!

Tama777, I too will follow with great interest. I would love to see American streamliners from the 30's or learn how to design them on the computer. I found some interesting micromodels of U.S. loco's- found plenty of european loco's - some free in 1:45 & 1:38. Ordered an O gauge paper engine...

Awesome Modeling - I am gathering info. to convert a stearnwheeler model into a "tinclad". I ran across these ships when I was doing research for ironclads. I really enjoy ACW maritime subjects. I'll enjoy following ths-is thread.

    Realistic track?

Lex- There's another site - bastelbogen-online.de. It's 1:45 - lots of interesting things. Correction on the other site in my previous post - the scale there is 1:38. Loadmat

    My Internettrain nightmare

B.K. Sorry to read your woes with this outfit. I thought I had problems going two and a half months before the guy at cardmodelsnmore blew me off and didnt keep his word (he wouldn't respond to my emails) about a refund for an order that I never received. I just chalked the 60 bucks off to...

    PzKpwf II Luchs 1:25 Wak

Wonderful Work! I really appreciate the detail of WAK kits. I am converting a really old T-54 kit to a Turan 4 - I used paper towel and glue rubbed on to give the turret a cast texture. I Like the detail that you've done on the wheels - I am now inspired to start tackling those rascals on the...

    New Tiger I at GPM

Jim - Looks like a beauty. I am afraid I'm starting to see the price-jump trend in paper modeling also. That was one of the benefits of getting out of plastic and into paper. Guess I'd better learn how to design the subjects that I want to build. Loadmat
