    coupler..why dont they stay coupled

On my HO layout, I run Kadee # 5, but I notice not all cars have the coupler pockets at the same height, sometimes you need to use shims under the coupler in order to have all the same height so the cars do not uncouple going around curves or on uneven track. I never have this problem on my O...

How Do You Guys Do It?

As for time, I have almost no free time, I work two jobs totaling about 65 hours a week. I work on my hobbies (trains, model cars) mostly in the winter months when no outside work is calling me. I try to work 2-3 hours a week solid on my hobbies. As far as patience, I work on something and if...

Question of the day, 11-21- train shows

Luckly there are a number of trainshows/swapmeets in greater Cleveland Ohio area, so I do not need to travel far. I try to go to a few, trouble is some are close in dates and the same vendors are at each show, so you see the same merchandise again. I would say I go to 5-6 shows from October to...

Question for Nov 16/17 Choose from column A or B...

I would opt for a couple older Lionel engines from the 70's-80"s, I do not want the new stuff with all it's problems. Give me a old Lionel anyday, they run forever with minimal maintenance. If I have any money left over, I would buy more structures to add to the layout.
