I was ill, but now am much better

W00t! Yay! Welcome back John, and I wish you lots of strength for your recovery. Even though I am mostly silent these days, doesn't mean I don't peek in and miss people when they go MIA :P *hugs*

    $50.00 tool kit

I recently bought a cheap sharpening stone (Arkansas brand, 6000 / 8000 grains) because I got fed up with having to throw my knife blades away. Especially when your model consists partly of cardboard (and mine do), razorsharp edges go blunt after a few cuts. Normally I would have to toss my...

At present I am working on recreating a part of London in a virtual 3D world... thanks for pointing out this program... it would make my work so much easier! Have shared it with my fellow developers :-)

No, it wasn't you :) The "new" button wasn't there in the beginning, but it got added again (well... the text was made white, so it is visible). Kudos to the administrators!

    New Skin!! New Look!!

I like the new look and feel, but I seriously miss the "new posts since last visit" button. That was my main way to navigate the site. Where did it go and will it come back? Pretty please?

Hehe Zathros, I think this is the first time an atheist causes a religious experience then xD Anyway, I have some more progress to show. I have been working hard on getting one of the steering cabins done, and the little pieces of the grille. First: some of the parts needed for the steering...

And time for another small update xD I have been puzzled by the model, to be honest, because the building diagrams didn't make enough sense to find out where what part needed to go exactly. So it has been a bit of trial and error. The numbering on several parts is wrong, and it doesnt make...

Yay, finally I found the courage to build again xD I don't have many pictures, but I think it shows pretty nicely what I have done so far. I feared the parts wouldn't fit, there are some inconsistencies in the model, but it turned out okay. I do hope that, when I get to work on the bodywork...

borrowing is good xD no need to invent the wheel again ;-) It's been a while since I last posted an update, but no worries, still struggling with the model. The drive shafts to be precise. They don't seem to fit :-( So I need to make some changes. Will post more when I have it installed.

You make me blush ;-) Just a small update today. I finished work on the engine, and decided to put the exhaust pipes in later (when I know exactly where they will go)

Thanks for the kind words, KC :-) Especially with complicated shapes, I find it easier not to use internal formers, because it leaves some room for corrections during the glueing. For simpler shapes tho, like U-shaped profiles, formers are great :-) I continued working on the engine block. With...
