new project man o' war fleets

my going merry ship is from ninjatoes, not paper-replika. the jig scales a good amount, its a function of the strength of the corrugated cardboard. double it up if you need to and use thicker string. Add multiple coats of pva "paint" to stiffen the rat lines. for realistic rigging. ropes...

new project man o' war fleets

If you look here: http://jleslie48.com/gmerry/cs.html you see a technique I use in the first few pictures on how to make tiny ratlines. Make the jig out of corrugated cardboard, and then paint the strings that are raised off of the jig with pva glue. its quite painless.

I love these types of ships. I'm particularly interested in your steampunk and nautilus models. Actually all of them. I've looked at your other patterns on your website. some of them are uncolored, do you have colored versions of them?

    Black Pearl

Any issues with the terrestrial voyager??

I'm getting a build report with a problem, anybody else run into this issue: I started assembling the skeleton, and the main spine and bulkheads seem to be in different scales--a big discrepancy in sizes. Several mm for bulkheads A and B--as far as I got.

    LED Resistor help

Excellent implementation! I love the reuse of those old power supplies. I've got about a dozen of them from all the old kids toys, broken cordless phones, modems, et al. The regulator is the key.
