    Early 20th Century Train Tickets

Thanks so much to all who responded. I never expected actual pictures of tickets, but you could not have been more helpful. I have printed out those pictures and we are reproducing them as I type. Again, a huge THANK YOU to you guys. Happy Thanksgiving, GYurick

    Early 20th Century Train Tickets

My church's Christmas Production has a railroad theme. We need to know what train tickets would have looked like around 1905. Can anyone help? I don't have a clue where to go to get such info.

    HO steam loco repair

I have an HO steam 0-6-0 loco that needs service. Specifically, the rubber tire has stretched and needs replaced. I do not feel confident about doing the work. I would probably do more harm than good. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy source for this?

    Turntable Help

In a Kalmbach publication entitled, "The Model Railroader's Guide to Locomotive Servicing Terminals" (pages 44 and 45) there is a brief mention of a manual turntable built by Bob Hayden which uses a stereo phono plug and jack to power the bridge rails. Anyone know how I might contact Bob? Anyone...

    Articles from Out-of-Print M.R. Mags

I need two articles from long out-of-print Moder Railroader Magazines. If you have the February 1947 issue and/or the April 1949 issue, please contact me at georgeyurick@cs.com. I will provide a fax number or reimburse for photocopying and postage if that is easier. Thanks so much.

    Modeling a brake system

I am building Funaro & Camerlengo's kit #6220 - Rutland Hopper Bottom Coal Car. The kit comes with about 2 dozen parts for the brake system, but absolutely no instructions...not even a diagram showing the assembled system. Also, there are no detailed instructions for the installation of the...

    Walk-around controller

:) I appreciate all your help, guys, but I finally made up my mind. I went to ye olde hobby shop and bought MRC's Train Master 20. Walther's lists it at $200, I got it for $140. It will do everything I need and more. Can't wait to hook it up. I'll report back when I do. Thanks so much, again...

    Screws v. Nails

Mike, there's another reason to use screws rather than nails. In addition to all the good reasons already mentioned, hammering causes lots of vibration. If you, like I, have locos and cars on the layout as soon as there is sufficient track (for testing purposes and because I want to see...

    Walk-around controller

Thanks so much, Rory. That is an impressive site. The diagrams will require considerable study. I'm not sure that I am skilled enough to build it.

    Walk-around controller

I need to build or buy a control system that will allow me to move from place to place around my layout by plugging and unplugging a telephone type or multi-pin type plug from a hand-held box with speed and direction controls. About 4 locations would be needed and the train must continue doing...
