    Opinions on Trix

Is that an N scale? I saw on a web site a Trix HO that look similar to that. 30 Years eh. Fine Bavarian engineering for sure.

    Opinions on Trix

I am looking for a diesel to go with my circa 50's 60's layout and I saw one that looks great and has a great price of $75.00 Canadian or $66.95 U.S :thumb: It is by a German-Austrian firm called TRIX that people here seem to respect for their HO models, but no one seems to know anything...

    asymmetrical Switch problem

Yes: they are both Atlas switches arranged to take the train from the outside track to the inside track. What seems strange is that the sound is different from left to tight, yet I have ensured that they are wired correctly. I am really confused as to how I can get both to go at the same time...

    asymmetrical Switch problem

Would a power pack just for switches work just as well?, or is a cap discharge project the only way for such problems. What I don't understand I have other switches that work well.

    Life Like locomotives

I have a chance to pick up a nice used steam loco made by Likelike. I know nothing about this company and so I would appreciate an honest appraisals in: 1. craftsmanship 2. Noise. 3. durability. Thanks for your time.

    Flywheel on a FP7

I was just looking at Model Power loco's and I saw a FP7 with flywheel. I know what a flywheel does in other areas but WTH does it have to do with model trains. I am curious. Grotto.

    My Layout: Atlas N4

I also am working on my version of N4. I have the scenery all done etc, but due to confusion by me on where to place the insultors, I havn't run it. I could throw some in the mail if you need some. I didn't even know that I needed to put insulators on the switches. Grotto

IT holds none at all, as I am into N scale . I recently was given an old HO train set that came withtwo loco's, a circle and various cars. To be honest I was hoping to trade it in to a local hobby store towards a new N scale loco which I really need. It's tto bad as it is in unused shape...

Hello. I have a Bachmann "HO scale powerpack" circa 1965- 1978 that I was hoping to use for an N scale railroad. Just because it says Bachmann "HO scale powerpack", does that mean that it must be used on HO only? Here are the particulars Bachmann "HO scale powerpack" Made in Canada Bachmann...

    Cleaning enamel paint from tracks

I thought it would be great to rust up my tracks with some German enamel paint, and sure enough it did a great job. Some areas got paint on the top part of the rail and needless to say it has to come off. Would a razor blade work scraping the paint of, or would that damage the track.

    Where to place insulators?

I thought that with Atlas switches that insulated conectors wern't required. I'm sure that's what the salesman in the store said. I even showed him the book. I would love to be able to understand why they are required.
