    3D Printing Basics

Yepp I have the Basic Ender 3 (not the pro) and cannot say anything bad about the print quality. Be aware that the stock Enders are really noisy. I've changed the mainboard in mine to an SKR 1.4 (with TMC2209 drivers) and it made it almost silent (well if you don't count the fans)

    About cutting machines

Never tried it. I've had trouble getting it set for the 160gms paper I usually use so I didn't really experiment with it afterward.

At the Cafe of Broken Dreams vignette (Fallout)

Ever since I've bought a 3D printer my Paper projects slowed down a bit ... but not stopped! I just finished a Fallout themed vignette. It was work in progress for about a year now. Cafe of Broken Dreams is a random encounter in Fallout 2. The Chosen One (player) can encounter characters left...

    Liberty Prime from Fallout

Finally finished my Liberty Prime proxy for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare.this was about a 4 months project all in all. Printed on my Ender 3 using PLA, 0.2mm nozzle/0.8mm layer height. Separated into 10 parts (- the Power Armored BoS knight), and took about 20 days (480 hours) to print. The base...

    Your first time....

Hmm I'm not sure how old I was I guess anywhere between 6-9 (lower grade primary school is all I can remember that would be 1991-1994). I have had 2 paper models I've built. One was a Lotus race car something like this: I remember the same parts, so it was this template for sure, but probably...

Trials and Tribulations and my Ender 3

So I "fixed" my extruder: not pretty but I doubt it will eat into the metal this time

Tips and tricks for printing minis

The more common fail reasons and what I usually check if it happens. Detachment: As the layers are deposited over each other the nozzle and the fresh plastic have a bit of drag, so there are forces exerted sideways on the part. This can cause the part to detach from the print surface making the...

Trials and Tribulations and my Ender 3

I have tried transparent PLA filament last weekend... The result is about what I expected based on my Internet research, not great but does the job. As for trials, I always wondered why some people put on a second filament guide close to the extruder. I just noticed that the filament ate...

Tips and tricks for printing minis

Aaaand after a super busy last week, here I go, rambling about printing minis Build plates On the Ender 3 and most FDM printers, there is a heated bed where the melted plastic gets deposited on. Usually, there is a build plate attached on top of if. There are multiple kinds available from...

    Reaper Bones Fire Giant Bodyguard

Looking good! Are those Delta yellow paints any better than the citadel ones? I needed to paint some radioactive waste barrels, and realized for the fist time how bad my yellow paints are. T_T

Tips and tricks for printing minis

Cura setting part 2 Support: Supports are needed for a big percentage of minis, and I usually make good use of them. There is another kind under the Experimental section called Tree supports I usually use either of both of those and the ones that can be set here. These settings only affect the...

Tips and tricks for printing minis

So far I just wrote about preparing models in any 3D editor. I mostly concentrated on steps that I found I either use often and/or had some problems because of them. The internet is a great resource and there is a great community there. For the next part, I will be going through the slicer...
