    Question about "CAD" design...

    I have actually looked and used RR Track software and I have used the CADRAIL demo to see what the program is about. I am not real intimidated by the learning curve of these systems. Further, I think that having the ability to print everything out to scale is a big plus to these software design...

    ME is the choice for many experienced modelers, but the price and difficulty to work with has me a little nervous about using it (flex track) I do like their turn outs. I just wish that they would make more than #6 Chesticus

    Actually it gets sheaper than that. I have found if I buy bulk (which I am going to do) I have got the price of Atlas flex down to $2.70 per piece, and I have got model power down to $1.59.     I have used Atlas Code 83, but I have seen that "model power" code 83 is much cheeper. Is there a difference in quality? Does it look different or not as good? Just eondering what you guys thought. Chesticus

    I especially have to keep this in mind as I have a Challenger and I need a turn table of this size on my lay out. The book has helped me with my plannning, but I am going to have to redesign one of the yard sections of my layout using my software.

    Challenger and excusion tank question....

    The Challenger has 2 excursion tanks that follow the main tender as it runs (this is as it runs today). I have read that they are 800 series tenders. My question is can they be found for purchase in HO scale? Chesticus
