Wayne's offering looks familiar: Western Pacific #165 is a beefy little 0-6-0 switcher, currently undergoing boiler ultra sound tests which so far, have came back with great news. She should be boiling water here in the next 3 years.

Western Pacfic FP7 805-A at the WPRM in Portola. She's looking a little naked though (so don't peek at her sides  ) as I have a 1:1 scale decal project to do yet. I have the vinyl lettering cut, just haven't had the time nor favorable weather to apply it yet. She can also benefit...

    Is it possible...

Given a car on the RIP track, would rust be a bad thing? I like the idea. I REALLY like the idea, now to find someone who makes somewhat modern cars in metal still.

    Smallest Possible Oval Layout?

Earlier this Summer, my step daughter was out at a local flea market and came across a Bachmann "Flying Scott" set, Mint condition in its box for $30. It came home with her, because though she figured there was something wrong with it, she figured the cars that came with it would at least be a...

I just read on another board that Paul Templar (aka "Shamus") lost his battle with cancer today. Thank you Shamus for endless hours of entertainment and for all of the friendly advice. I learned a lot from the best and still continue to enjoy all of the lessons I learn him from the masters...

Ok, how about an oldie from the "Sad & Pathetic" railroad? SP 1337 is the office car for the Western Pacific RR Museum model railroad dept. and as such is full of HO, N and Z Scale models since SP had for some reason outfitted every nook and cranny with cabinets.
