Its been over a year since the last issue of the Gauge's E-Mag was released. A lot of you were probably wondering where the E-Mag had gone, whether there was going to be another issue. Or, if it had died completely.

It hasn't....... Its back.

It never really was killed, just been put on hold for awhile. And I think all the readers deserve the right to know what happened that caused its temporary demise.

Just before the release of last years Fall issue, my mother had passed away. From the middle of September till a week pass the release date, I was in Arizona, taking care of my mothers affairs, and making sure that my father was going to be alright. My father had a stroke six months before. So I was moving him into a home. Emotionally, it was a rough time for me. And thats all I could think of. The E-Mag was the farthest thing from my mind at the time.

The time that this was going on, Val (spitfire) picked up a couple of more classes to teach. She was the one that designed the outstanding pages that your reading this from. Her schedule  had gotten full, so working on the E-Mag, was put on hold.

If your wondering how come we didn't release the E-Mag, if alls she did was design the pages. This is how it worked. First, I'd get all the great articles you'd all been writing, in my e-mail. I'd would take them, check for spelling, fluff up the text if needed, put the pictures in the right spots, or assign them a place in your articles. After I was satisfied with the article (some hardly need to be touched), I emailed them to Val. Val would then, check my spelling, put the pictures in the right places (I couldn't e-mail whole articles. I had to split the text and pictures) To do this, she would download from her Mac onto her Laptop. Fix the articles, then download everything back on to her PC. She would then E-mail everything to Mikey (Ngauger) who would download it to the Gauges server. After that was done, all three of us would check the links, made sure everything was ok and release the E-Mag for your enjoyment. Val was a big part of the E-Mag process.

Then, a great friend , long time member of the Gauge, and a regular contributor to the E-Mag passed away.

So, those are the reasons that the E-Mag was put on the back burner. But it has been resurrected. We, the staff of the E-Mag, hope you enjoy it. And look for the next issue at the beginning of the new year.
