Another great resize, and build Legal! I love the resized models you are doing. I don't know where you are putting them.

I will be frank, I don't see this happening, as it opens a can of worms. If you gave him the file, with all rights and exclusivity, that might work, but I doubt, he will reply. I believe people should do this on their own. It's not really hard if you have the software. Please, do not ask for the files, or distribute them using the P.M. messaging system, because I am sure people will P.M. you, and it will turn up, pirated at that scale, then the hammer comes down. Not worth it. Really.

That said, admire, compliment, let's leave it at that. I was going to close this thread, but won't. Starbuck, I trust you, but you give that model out to one person, and you will regret it.

Very, very, very cool. This model is also on my list. It is a great model in the size UHU02 published, but in your size it is stunning. :Congrats:

Yup, without express consent of UHU02 it stays on my hard drive only, PM requests for copies will be politely rebuffed, sorry guys.

Thanks for the complements!

Of course, you being who you are, I do not mention this as my confidence in you is unwavering. Gotta admit, you make some fantastic scaled up models. They lose nothing, actually, I think they gain a lot, literally and figuratively. :)

Just for the sake of argument or problems....why not show us how you "UP-SCALED" this fine model! Then those that feel the need can "Do for them-selves"!

Photoshop is the easiest way. You can arrange the parts the best way, that's what I use, I still use CS3, I have CS5, though I don't find much difference, and I am not going to rent it from them, so till they make my older versions non functional, they serve me well.

Problem is, using Photoshop is a whole software package you have to learn., and that goes beyond the scope of showing your model for peer review. It is also not cheap. There are others that upscale models using just the .pdf settings, and printing many pages. Many methods to the same end. I had the same problem when I scaled up "Lilla Weneda" by 200%. The model went from tiny to 36 inches long. 8 pages, to 36 pages. Lots of work, and I dare not share the file, as it isn't my right, even though it is freely available. :)

UPDATE:!!

I use Adobe Illustrator, work out the current scale and then upscale to the size i am looking for. At least with AI you can rely on vector and don't get any pixilation when you scale up.

Interesting. I did the same thing with Adobe CS3. With CS3/CS5 you can also move the parts around and join some parts together. It's just a matter of sizing the canvas. I am horrid with the proper terminology when it comes to Photoshop. :)

Nice and big! Very clean build. Do you work in a clean room or something?!?

dnalor, it needed some reinforcement and the internal spine is in 2mm thick card. Have added a few extra parts to the rear to make the entire wing joint much stronger and to allow the frame to brace the wings instead of just the central spine. If only I could get the go ahead form the designer then I can upload the design! :(
