That model is a pirated scan. It was only available in Japan. It is from the Anime series "Last Exile". I have all seven DVD's. I did not want to say anything but that could set precedent. Personally, I think if they won't sell it here, then too bad, but it was a limited release in Japan too. Sorry.

I'd still build it. If I really wanted it. To be honest, I found that model a year ago. Sounds hypocritical, but I'm just being honest. I haven't built it, but I haven't built anything for a while. I have the Vanships that came with the DVD's, as I pre-ordered them, and got the special editions. Just trying to be honest. If I owned this forum, I might allow some things that other forums don't. Sometimes, some things don't really matter , I look back and remember " I sang in my chains, like the sea"........................Dylan Thomas "Fern Hill". Funny, I can copy and paste one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read, but not some dumb paper model. I read this poem for the first time, when I was 17, then, and now, 40 years later, still, it rings so close , so true.

May you experience the serenity I experience, reading this poem. :)

Fern Hill, by Dylan Thomas

Now as I was young and easy under the apple boughs
About the lilting house and happy as the grass was green,
The night above the dingle starry,
Time let me hail and climb
Golden in the heydays of his eyes,
And honoured among wagons I was prince of the apple towns
And once below a time I lordly had the trees and leaves
Trail with daisies and barley
Down the rivers of the windfall light.

And as I was green and carefree, famous among the barns
About the happy yard and singing as the farm was home,
In the sun that is young once only,
Time let me play and be
Golden in the mercy of his means,
And green and golden I was huntsman and herdsman, the calves
Sang to my horn, the foxes on the hills barked clear and cold,
And the sabbath rang slowly
In the pebbles of the holy streams.

All the sun long it was running, it was lovely, the hay
Fields high as the house, the tunes from the chimneys, it was air
And playing, lovely and watery
And fire green as grass.
And nightly under the simple stars
As I rode to sleep the owls were bearing the farm away,
All the moon long I heard, blessed among stables, the nightjars
Flying with the ricks, and the horses
Flashing into the dark.

And then to awake, and the farm, like a wanderer white
With the dew, come back, the cock on his shoulder: it was all
Shining, it was Adam and maiden,
The sky gathered again
And the sun grew round that very day.
So it must have been after the birth of the simple light
In the first, spinning place, the spellbound horses walking warm
Out of the whinnying green stable
On to the fields of praise.

And honoured among foxes and pheasants by the gay house
Under the new made clouds and happy as the heart was long,
In the sun born over and over,
I ran my heedless ways,
My wishes raced through the house high hay
And nothing I cared, at my sky blue trades, that time allows
In all his tuneful turning so few and such morning songs
Before the children green and golden
Follow him out of grace.

Nothing I cared, in the lamb white days, that time would take me
Up to the swallow thronged loft by the shadow of my hand,
In the moon that is always rising,
Nor that riding to sleep
I should hear him fly with the high fields
And wake to the farm forever fled from the childless land.
Oh as I was young and easy in the mercy of his means,
Time held me green and dying

Though I sang in my chains like the sea.

Im not a supporter of Pirated models, as that takes away from the original designers, but as I would do this build for myself and not for profit...who knows, I still might. Havent decided yet.

Beautiful poem by the way.

I am going to modify the sh*t out of that model, as it has some problems. I would like to talk to you again. :)

p.s. I love that poem. :)

I've seen picks of it on the net, but it seemed a tad simplified, probably for publishing to the general public. On the other hand there are also from perhaps the same publications some pretty good views (side + 3/4) that to me seem fair game for starting points if you are willing to scratch build the thing. Maybe worth putting out feelers on the "design wish list" topic area.

You build it, and I think I will too. As a protest to them locking us out, especially because I pre-ordered the 7 DVD set, and this was never made available to me.. Do it. You can truly do this model justice. You have our official backing. Rhaven and I both are in agreement. :)

I searched for pics and saw some build/parts images. It is actually fairly tricky for a goodie in a DVD set. Good luck...it'll be nice to see what you do with it. (privately I'm trying to see if I can work up a reasonably good 3view)

If you dont have a 3D view by the time i build it, Ill take pics for you at different angles if that will help
