You must be exhausted!:wacky:
The build was rather "exhausting", yes!:walkingdead:
In all reality, it really was not bad at all.
Like I have said, though. This is MY new standard now (for the rest of my builds).

Maybe you need a muffler to wrap around your neck, and get that chill under control! I think in space you would want "automatic". How would you know when to shift? :)

The Thunder Fighter does have a throttle control lever. So you really do not "shift gears".

Here is the Thunder Fighter that started it all!
I have started with the cockpit.

Here is the seat.
IMAG5041.jpg

As you can see, I layered the buckles and slides to look more realistic.
IMAG5042.jpg IMAG5043.jpg

Here is the tub.
IMAG5044.jpg

Now to the main body of the plane.

Starting with the main body of the engines. As you can see, I have raised some of the panels
IMAG5056.jpg IMAG5057.jpg IMAG5058.jpg

Both halves are together.
IMAG5061.jpg IMAG5062.jpg IMAG5063.jpg

The first part of the underside skins is attached.
IMAG5064.jpg

As you can see, I have raised some of the panels on the underside to add extra detail.

Now working on the aft section.
IMAG5075.jpg

I am making these vents look like real louvers.
IMAG5076.jpg

I layered the "louvers".
IMAG5077.jpg

I attached the louvers to the underside of the panel.
IMAG5078.jpg

I attached a finishing ring around the louvers.
IMAG5079.jpg

The louver assembly panels are put in place.
IMAG5080.jpg

Here is a close-up of the louvers and showing some of the other panels that I raised to add more detail to the overall look of the model.
IMAG5081.jpg IMAG5082.jpg

The topside skin is now in place.
