Ladies, Gentlemen, Boys & Girls (and Cylons alike), After getting inspired by Danscrews detailed build of the Battlestar Galactica I have decided to build the 1.5 foot version (to match my TOS Galactia of the same size). Yes, I will be adding more detail into this model (as well as a few other surprises).

This model can be found here: http://stevespaper.com (the model in both 1.5 ft and 3 ft can also be found in Zealot int the DOWNLOAD Section as well: http://www.zealot.com/forum/downloads.php?do=cat&id=75).

Starting with the framework for the top part of the bridge section.
As you can see I laminated the formers (to 1 mm) to give the section a bit more rigidity.

The top part of the bridge section is now skinned.

I added the ribs (which are 1 mm wide) so that I can add the armor plating.

Here is the middle part of the bridge section.

Thank you one and all for your kind words and encouragement.
So to show my appreciation for your admiration, here are more photos to enjoy!

I added ribs to the middle bridge part.

I added the armor plating to the top bridge part. I doubled laminated the regular cardstock (180 gsm.) to get the thickness that I wanted (0.25 mm thick).

RB,
This looks incredible! I've been working on this one on and off for the last 6 mos. and it wasn't easy,(For me!) especially the framework, I couldn't get it to work, so I can say from experience, you're doing an excellent job, sir!

This looks great and the timing couldn't be better cause I was planning on building this one after I finish with the Colonial Defender that I'm working on.

Now I have some too cool reference pics to go by-just hope mine comes out half as well as yours is.

Update!

Here is an Update on my progress.
As you can see, I am adding even more Armor Hull Plating on it.
Reason for being, is that I am making the BIG "G" from BSG Blood & Chrome.
(Yes, I am taking some artistic licensing with the Armor Hull Plating and how it is arranged.)

The Armor Plating on the sides is finished. (I even remade the plate for the Front Reaction Control Thrusters).

I even added the ship ID logo.

Now on to the Gun Turrets and the rest of the Armor Hull Plating on top.
