I was planning to take it slow and easy after my last model, but I figured that I might as well do a quick model of a default TARDIS as seen in the season finale "The Name of the Doctor".

It's a simple cylinder, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what I could add on to it (e.g. surface details, what kind of stand/display base I should do, other add-ons, etc.) So far the only details I've added has been "TARDIS Type 40 Mark III" in the best Gallifreyan I knew (i.e. very, very crappy).

Sorry, I couldn't help that. I think the best detail for your model would be a diorama, maybe let the tardis spin or swing.
Not a bad idea...though I'm not sure how something this light could provide the momentum without the aid of a motor...even if it were to be hand-turned somehow....

Currently I have a very simple base which I guess could be used on any of my other TARDIS models.

Looks pretty much perfect to me :D

Also if you wanna get an idea on a cheap and easy (but not what you'd call spectacular ;) ) way to achieve the spinning-floatie effect, here's a video a guy made on making a cardboard floating monolith for his D&D table (finished project at about 14:30).

As an aside, is it intentional that the download of the model is of an SVG? If it isn't, it seems like instead of uploading the model you uploaded the high resolution version of the preview image and you may wanna correct that ;)

Good job. I loved that episode, and this paper model is awesome! Maybe you can add a modular design for the hallway that the TARDI? tARDISES? We're in, as well as some optional other gallifreyan symbols that just say random things on them so that we can make the entire hallway! Thanks

This would make a nice Penicl/Pen holder, with a little weight at the bottom. :)
