A fully functional Viper, with moving parts, retractable landing gear, cockpit interior, in 1:144 scale... Well, if there is one who could achieve that, it is UHU02!

I would love to see UHU02 make a Viper the same way as he is making this X-Wing!!!
I think that I would set all of the projects that I am currently worrking on at the moment aside just to build it.

UHU02 did mention a Viper as one of the possible subjects after the SHADO Interceptor whether it would be a cutaway I suppose depends on references and UHU02, as has been said before half the excitement with UHU02's models is what will be next.

Main U/C, they can be pushed in and pulled out of the U/C bay by the looks of it giving the option of up or down, I think.

OK before the next set of pictures a few things I need you to do,
1 make sure you are firmly seated, perhaps even strapped in
2 make sure there are no: young children, maiden aunts, grandmothers, anybody easily offended by swearing and sudden outburst of expletives
3 if at work gag yourself to avoid disciplinary action or if you have a swear box put about £30 or the equivalent in it now just to be on the safe side.
Ready? are you sure? one last check............OK then

That word you've involuntarily just blurted out was the reason for the previous precautions and has just been said in one form or another around the world, but remember as the echo's of that word fade that this piece of paper art, this amazing construction is not even finished there's even more to come.

You just said that word again didn't you?....

I thought some thing looked strange, and then it hit me: It looks like the main gear retracts into the engine(?)!

This is NOT a criticism of UHU02's (extremely impressive!) work, but rather a question/comment on the original design of the X-Wing.

I don't seem to of saved the relevant pictures but the main u/c was something that bothered UHU02 in the design stage, he researched a lot of real aircraft u/c's to try and work out how to fit them in and came up with a version that folded to the side of the engine but ultimately it seems that ILM gave the X-Wing magic undercarriage. I don't know if the plastic cutaway kit solved the problem the plastic models I have of the X-Wing just ignored the issue.

And i can live with it. :)

I think we need a head explodey to go with the smileys and talking of heads exploding please cover all stainable and valuable items and unplug electrical units to reduce the risk of fire as there now follows a huge update.
First off holding the wings in and drive plate.
