I have decided to rebuild the BSG medevac Raptor from Revell-Fan.
This time around, I am raising as much of the detail (mainly the armor plating) as I can.
Here is my progress thus far:

I can attest from seeing this on SKYPE that this model is HUGE!! Which makes it attention to detail all the better. :)

Thank you one and all for the kind words and encouragement.
I am hoping that I can get it done before the 1st of June. There is a paper model EXPO on the 8th of June that I want to enter this model in.

Update

Here is an update on my build so far.
As you can see, I have added quite a bit of detail and laminated the armour plating that is on this model.

Here I raised the detail of these parts to give a more realistic feel to the model.

Here I have sealed the cabin.

I raised the panels here.
IMAG1881.jpg

I raised and laminated all of the armour plating to about 1.5 mm thick.
IMAG1882.jpg

I made the front landing pad thicker and more pronounced.

Front landing pad is now attached.

I stand down..........! ;-)

As always, you take the detailing to the utmost level...... :D

And, as with your first version of this model, I sit back and learn from you, Sir!

Mentor, the idea of raising the pannels just brought the model a lot closer to "reality". Beautiful job!
Now I would love to see you and Revell-Fan design an interior for that babe! Oh, boy! I SOOO do not deserve it...

Thank you for the compliment.
As for designing the interior, that is up to Revell-Fan. I know that he has MANY projects in the queue at the moment. So it will (more then likely) take awhile before he is able to get to it.
Not only do you deserve it, but so does everyone else here that is a BSG fan.
SO SAY WE ALL!!!

Fantastic detailing RB, it won't be much of a surprise comming from your hands but this model will turn out great. I'm realy looking forward to see more of it.

Cheers,
