Im doing a project and just thought i would share it with everyone, this is my first build thread so for me it will be touch and go and see what happens.
Im rebuilding some parts of the armour, its so far not going to bad, the shapes seem pretty straight forward enough. here are some screen grabs ive got so far, no pysical model as yet but i will be making one for the parts. so its still work in progress.

hope everyone likes the build so far

polygon count reduced on shoulder cups

Some more modifications ive made too the shoulder cups, ive made things a bit more uniform and tidied the mesh up a bit for later on in the build.

These renders look realy good. You will be running into many unfold problems which will men many eams. If you plan on filling them up, then it is of little consequence. Extract a wire frame from the model and removes the curves which do not help in forming developable surfaces. What software are you using for this. It looks really good so far. :)

I think you mean the rounded edges / corners on the armour parts, don't you? I would simplify these areas a bit, too.

Other than that, the work I see here is absolutely phenominal! WOW! Kevlary, it's good that you are on board! Keep it on! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

I am reading the first sentence of this quotation of mine, one spelling error, not too bad, but the second sentence, ...........Whaaaa? I wrote it and I can't even decipher it! :p

Dreadfully cool!

Although I really do not like the cylons (I was a kid when the first BSg was released, probably got traumatized by the swinging light serving as an eye:cry::p), your work is really great! What software are you modeling with?

I love old school Battlestar Galactica! I prefer the old cylon's to the new version... what a classic villain!

My next project is constructing the helmet and armor!
