Bit by bit...

Howdy

It may not seem much to you, but to me, is a reason to celebrate wildly: I have cut the first piece of my first model, and I would like to share with you my happiness for this special moment of accomplishment. It's the center piece of the internal support structure of the "chest" and "waist".
When I joined Zealot five months ago, I would NEVER EVER though that I would learn to model. I had remotely considered the possibility, but I never thought I would be able to produce something in such a short time. I thought it would take me forever to learn the basics, and here I am, OOOW!
Not that I should tap myself on my back, no, sir! It's just that it seemed a dream so wildly impossible, and it turned out that I just needed to be in the right place: ZEALOT!!!
All the help and support I've found here, I can't think of nowhere else to find it. All the problems I've had, all the special moments... people, I have to say: joining Zealot was the best thing I could do for this hobby, and for me.
So thank you all, and please share this moment of happiness in the pic below.

:thumb::thumb:CONGRATULATIONS ON REACHING THIS MILESTONE!!!:thumb::thumb:

I would have to say that you have surpassed me in this. I am still using the OLD SCHOOL method (pencil, ruler, and paper) when it comes to designing anything.wall1wall1wall1
I think that I will have to take a class for something like this.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

I'm happy I'm back to see it. Always knew you had it in you. Many others do too. The trick is to model something you know and like. :)

I have to say that having both my "Mentors" encouraging and supporting me all the way did a whole galaxy of difference. I'm not exaggerating, it's the simple, plain truth.
Having you, Zathros, back to Zealot is really awesome. And Rhaven Blaack was always there for me when I needed.
You both were the ones that "pulled my ears" in the beginning, but I know I deserved at the time, mainly for my unexperience in forum. But you both were also the ones who have taught, supported and encouraged me the most. No wonder I call you "Mentors". Yes, it's sort of a joke, but based in the upmost respect and admiration I have for the two of you.
If I have accomplished and learned something here, I recognize: it was not all from you, but you sure "paved the way" for it. You have taught me the one "mantra" that I repeat endlessly: Zealot is special because WE make it so.
Thank you very much.

Keep movin' forward...

Hi

As you all know, I'd been experiencing some serious problems in my private life, but I seem to have solved them. I can't say it's for good, since I can't see the future, but I'll try my best.
That being said, I will return to my projects here in ZEALOT, but at a slower pace, so please, bear with me. We will continue to make ZEALOT special, and even better.
Thank you all,

Rogério

I look forward to the progression of our model. It's fun watching the build process take shape. I really believe that we have a high quality forum here and "Zealot is special because WE make it so" is also something I really believe in. :)

Rogerio my friend,
It is great to hear that things are much better for you.

Congratulations on the progress you are making. It is very rewarding to see something that you envisioned become something tangible that you can hold.

Here's to more success!

I can only echo what Ron said. In fact, Ron, it was watching your Enterprise take form a few years back that inspired me to continue with my own designing.

Whenever a Grand Master like you take time to visit me, it's always a reason for me to be happy, and an inspiration to go on. Thank you very much for your visit and wishes, I'll try to fulfill your expectations!

Scott

I must agree. Watching his and Uhu02's models has brought me to ZEALOT. A lot of models that are on my TO DO list come from my childhood times, from cartoons and movies. Well, now they have games, too, what can you do?
This one I couldn't find anywhere, so... you know the rest.
Thank you very much for your visit and the kind words.

Back on track

YO!

Although going on in a slow gait, I would like to say that if I knew the feeling of seeing an image become an object, I would have learned how to model earlier. It's such a feeling of accomplishment, it's something I cannot describe.
But hey! If you don't think that modeling is for you, it's all good, don't worry about it.:thumb: I'll only say one thing: announce1IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN!
Here are the pics for the beginning of the bone structure.

Chest

Hi

And here's the chest's and wing's bone structures complete. Maybe I shouldn't have glued the wings' bones to the chest's, but I think it'll come out right.
We'll see!

I'm completely stunned at the progress you have made, not that I doubted you could do it, it's the short time you took to learn all this and turn it into a testbuild allready!!

Phenomenal is word I'll use !!!!!

I'm glad to hear you're getting over the flu, it can realy take you down.
I'm anctious to see more of your testbuild!!

Cheers and all the best,

I intend to do many things now that I'm back on track. I'm working in a project (can't say much for now), in this one, and I intend to start another thread today. And that's because I said I would go in a slower pace...sign1
Do you know Kratos? Check my thread... MWAAAHAHAHAHAHAH...:p
