Hmm, wait a minute... (muddling through a big basket full of old pictures) pics of me and Yoda ... pics of local birds ... pics of old models ... pics of new models ... pics of Victoria's secret's models ...

HAAARGH! :curse: I know this makes no sense at all and is totally off-topic, but I think a vid says more than a thousand words. This is how I feel at this very moment:

You won. I was thinking of another variant. A cloaked Viper from Galactica 1980. General shape is done but assembly proves a bit more challenging since all parts are invisible. Check out this preview. I applied a little Gimp magic and pasted the Viper on a starry sky background.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Okay, okay, I surrender! Here are some new pics... And this time I'm NOT kidding! You see the first step towards the cockpit interior. I have isolated the cockpit section and will work from that.

(got to get Mr Green to the dentist!)

Is that enough room for the entire cockpit ?
That's no critisism, just curious.

I have the utmost respect for your 3d modeling abilities. I tried fidgeting around with blender and pepakura designer,...... well it did look very alien but not as we know it :eek:ops:

I'm realy looking forward to see the further development of this magnificent fighter.
Wow do I love papercraft or what ?
I can hit myself in the head time and time again that I didn't find this fantastic hobby before!!

Cheers,
Elko

Hello, all!

The first pics of the cockpit interior were just a start. I'm refining it now and will adapt everything as work progresses. What makes it extremely difficult is the fact that the original Viper mock-up didn't have a cockpit interior. There was only a seat, there were no instrument panels, no joystick, nothing. The only refs I have to guesstimate the look of it are pics of the cockpit set piece used for close-ups and the interiors of the commercial kits. A man named Joel Owens has developed detailed dashboard graphics. These are great and the best dashboard graphics available. I'm contacting him to ask him for permission to use them on this project. The current state is attached.

I can already tell that this is going to be an ABSOLUTE WORK OF ART!!!

As for Joel Owens and the detailed dashboard graphics he developed for the Viper, here is the website that shows such: http://www.joelowens.org/bsg/viper.html.

So if Revell-Fan does in-fact get permission to use this for the cockpit interior, be prepared to have a FAN(FRAKKING)TASTIC cockpit interior that will not only compliment an already WONDERFUL plane, but definitely and definitively set it apart from all of the rest (paper and plastic alike).

I am GREATLY looking forward to this project!!!
