That panel looks incredible!! I look forward to this. He seems to have really captured the subject. :)

UHU02 has started the Tie Interceptor build and it of course already looks amazing.UHU02 has also put up a tribute to Gerry Anderson the translation of which is not very clear but I hope as an avid fanderson myself that it might mean we could be getting another sort of Interceptor.

A Gerry Anderson model from UHU Would Be awesome!

It seems to be getting bigger?!? I don't mean because he's adding parts of either. This would be really incredible to double up in size! I wonder if he would consider offering up a .pdf like that?

hamrDamn! How could I notice this thread so late??? hamr

Another all-time favourite of mine. Let's hope UHU also prepares extra parts for the regular TIE and Darth Vader's TIE Advanced!

I thought they were Ion Drives, which would make them even slower than Ion Sails! The texture looks like photo quality paper, unless he clear coated them or works for the Emperor, which would be as hard as Luke hearing Darth say "Luke, I am your Father". :)

Supposedly, those are super efficient solar panels that charge the battery to the Twin Ion Engine (TIE) in the back. so it still needs a fuel of some kind. I guess the general assumption is that they found a way to create Ion output that rivals chemical fuel.

Acronyms, I can't believe I didn't see that one. I just like picking on Star Wars. Suspended reality for such long periods sometimes gets tiring, but I still watch it, that's what having a young kid is for!!

NASA has a spaceship exploring the cosmos with an ION drive. Project DAWN. It's very interesting. It isn't something for the future, it's being used now, which I find really cool. Link: http://dawn.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/ion_prop.asp. :)

You know, as masterful as UHU02 is, I wonder why
Hollywood has not contracted him to make props
for the movies. The level of detail he includes in his
models is stunning. His work could only add to the
realism of whatever movie he works on.
