Stealth

Hello Ladies and gentlemen,

Here is another installment of this ongoing project.
As you can tell by the title, I am building a Stealth TF, but there is a slight difference to the one that I did before. I will not say which TF I am doing in the Stealth paint scheme. I am going to let you guess which one I am doing (before it becomes obvious as to the one that I am building).
Like all of the previous other TFs in this project, it too will be fully detailed.

Here are the photos for your viewing pleasure:

Of course starting with the cockpit.

I have now started on the main body.
As you can see, I am putting the same level of detail as I have before.

Here is another update on the STEALTH project.
Have any of you guessed what variant of TF I am working on?
This update will give you some more glues.

IMAG1382.jpg

Here are vents that I have made for the TF.
I decided to scratch build the louvered vents.
As you can see, I cut strips that were 2 mm wide, then overlapped them to look like louvers.
IMAG1383.jpg

One vent is finished.
IMAG1384.jpg

Here is an angled shot of the vent to show how they are layered.
IMAG1385.jpg

Both vent are finished.

I attached a rim around the vents and attached them to the aft engine section.
IMAG1387.jpg

Here is a close-up of the vents.
IMAG1388.jpg

Here is the air intake for the engine section.

Air intake attached.

The next update will reveal the TF variant that I am working on.
So please stay tuned to your local EDD Broadcasting Channels for further updates as they come in.

I like the color scheme on this one. You must have a billion of these! :)

Thank you for the compliment.

Actually, I gave most of my old squadron away to a friend who has children so they can play with them.
It gave me a reason to rebuild my squadron with the extra detail that I wanted to put into it (for my own collection).:p

You must have a large group of kids that are really thankful for these! That is a really generous action on your part. :)

I have a few friends that have kids. So if there is a model that I want to remake, I will give them the old one and remake the new one for my collection.
I also make models as birthday gifts as well.

Thanks for all the great ideas. What did you use for marerial for the glass in the cockpit?:thumb:

The "GLASS" for the canopy is thick (about 0.22 mm thick) clear acetate that I get from most packages from Ikea or anything else (like the vacu-form packages that most things come in now) that has clear acetate.

Good luck with your build and I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
