I'm gonna send this link to my wife's school. She is Superintendent/Principal of a small district here in California. Over the Summer I made the Canon Eagle for her (school mascot). The kids were so enthused seeing the thing that they asked to have Papercrafts added as an elective. This place looks like it is made for them.

I approached my son's school, they just looked at me like I was nuts. They had no idea of what was involved. They treat any kind of C.A.D., or "making of things" as below them. They had a machine shop and got rid of all of the machines. Some of them were set with double nut zero lash screws, and could have easily been converted to CNC machines. Then they wonder how come nothing is made here. Judging by the number of kids that "aren't" college material, they don't seem top be catering to the other group of people.

Hi Beard,

Welcome here. You can find on the forum some models (free) in order to show and give to the children at school. If they're interested in building some of these : show us the result !

Faithfully
