I would actually love to build this lego version. There are step by step instructions on his website and even a brick list. You can buy individual bricks from websites, but I would have to hunt down thousands of bricks! 42 years later I would have it built:p Check out the little space pods that move in and out! I emailed the artist and he said he doesn't know what it would cost to make because he already had all those gray legos! must be some collection...

thats so cool i found some 2001 3d models but i dont know how to edit them i wanted to use the 3d models to try and make paper models with but i dont know how to edit them lol oh well my search for 2001 pepakura files continues

Just a thought: Make the stones from paper. And then assemble. Well, just a thought..! :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

I wouldnt mind building the oddessy, space ship, i would have to becareful with the sections in the middle, they look quite fiddley to build, but thats all part of it though i guess!!
