Spent a late last night, getting the model finished and I am very happy with the final result. I also quickly put together a basic stand for it out of some foamcore and a dowel rod. I attached a few pictures but you can see all 18 of the photos on my blog here:

Wow, I'm gone a few days and come back to this completed masterpiece. Incredible.

@ F131, It felt like you were gone longer than that!!

:thumb:This "Y wing" is the model to beat. The Bar has been set very high. I think it would have to work for real to beat this! :)

I'm a constant lurker, minimal (model build) contributor. I need to get building again...and a nice Y-Wing could make that happen.

Again, thanks for all the kind words it keeps me wanting to build more. I only recently found this forum and have already learned a bunch of new tricks some of which I incorporated In this build. I really want to try out this super glue method I have seen produce some impressive results and I'm about to order a circle cutter. Man I wish I had discovered that gem sooner.

I have to agree with everyone here, in that you have not only made a museun quality model, but you have set the bar (not onlt for this model, but) for every other model of this class and others like it.

I don't have much to add, it's a spectacular model, tons of detail, great painting&weathering and you have assembled it in a couple of days. We want to see more of this! ;)

@leofirebrand,
And what is your next project?..
I would love to see you doing an At-At or At-St...:)

@Imcold..any chance you do your magic with this y wing...
I don't know how you would do all that detail...but it would perfectly match your x wing :)

Not sure whats next at this point. I am going to take a brief break though before my next project. I was kinda toying with the idea of an X-Wing, Vader Tie, or Mech from Battletech. Thought the AT-ST would be fun too. I need to retire so I can spend more time on my hobbies.

Maybe. I click on my set of blueprints and add a line or two now and then, the ungreebled "core" and "head" is close to done, but that's about it. Drawing and texturing the details, that's the real show-stopper (not to mention tie fighter, otana and a bunch of other models..).

That is fantastic! As Z and RB said, museum quality. You could make a feature film with it!
