It is from Ecardmodels and it is under John Bowden (Ken West repaint).

Nice looking plane! :thumb:

Now, rip-off that cockpit, put a clear one and cut out the silhouette of the pilot and stick it in there. You have made a great model but the picture painted on the blue paper cockpit kills the model. I don't know if Ken West made it like that, I can't see him doing that, but the pilot painted on the fake glass cockpit is way too distracting from an other wise beautiful build and plane!

Even just a solid color cockpit would look better, some shade of light grey.

John Bowden does great work, he is brilliant. If he painted the guy in there, I don't know what to say!

That movie is great, and the best argument for smart bombs ever made.!

I painted the cockpit the way I like it. I have had many positive comments even from the the person who did the repaint.

That's the bottom line isn't it. If you're happy with it, that's all that matters. The side view is very impressive. That is one of my favorite all time movies, one that is not shown much. The model overall looks great, and this is a jet you don't hear much about. That makes it all the more interesting. :)

Thank you Jim. I plan on arming it with a couple of bombs and six rockets.

That will add a lot, these jets always look so cool when they're fitted out with ordinance. Are you designing your own or was it included or part of an add on kit? :)

Hi,

The kit was designed by Ken West and came with no hardpoints or ordnance. The 500lb bombs will be from another kit and the rockets I will have to do myself.
I built this model while I was watching Bridges over Toko Ri on DVD. I also watched "The Hunters" and my next model will be Robert Mitchum's or Robert Wagner's Sabre from that movie.

Whatever you do, just don't paint the rockets white with red heads. On the real planes during the war the rockets were dull silver with olive drab warheads.

The red & white colors are a misconception kinda like the reddish plum color shown on Japanese Rufe fighters durring WWII.

Nice repaint, I understand the guy in the cockpit, never liked that style, but many many people do, just a personal preference thing. To anyone reading this, I would heartily recommend following the "My Drawings" link in Bowdenja's signature. There are some line drawings there that are out of this world.
