The title is just what I mean. After playing the game over and over, loving the ship, and seeing all the other works people have been doing i decided to have a go at it.

The result is what you see below! A completed 3d build of the Normandy SR2 right out of the game files. Once build this monster comes in at just over 3 Feet long! And anyone with a decent color printer, scissors, glue and patience, can have one of their own!

This is a constant problem for Mac users. It's not going to go away either unless Apple does something about it. You will have to have permission from the author to get the file as a .PDF. NO ONE is allowed to convert that file and redistribute it as a ,PDF without Grale's permission. I suggest you send him a private message. He may do it for you. This is a Mac user's problem, not the designers. This has caused great problems in the forums already.

Your other option is to download the file and see if a friend can convert it for you. You can download a file you cannot read. You can do that on any computer.

If Grale gives permission, in general, for the forums members at large to change the file into a .PDF, then that changes everything of course. :)

It's a great shame that it's not written in Java, because then it'd be very easy to port to Mac and Linux. You could even put it on Android without too much fuss. I'd have thought they would lose a fair share of their market by not supporting Mac - I notice almost all vector, bitmap and 3d programs support Macs.

Well, that's what I'm doing here with my post... looking for a friend here from zealot who can convert it for me.

I'm not asking that someone should convert and redistribute the file. I'm just asking for a personal favour. No one will be harmed... and I posted my question intentionally in the thread the model designer started, so that he will read my question too, and will maybe assist us poor Mac users by himself.

Boot camp an OEM Windows 7 on your Mac. Paper models and games are the only reason I added Windows my Mac.

I'm with you F131 blue is my favorite color :thumb: , come on next month can't wait for ME3.

I'm with you, buddy. For the first time I pre-ordered a collectors edition. Shepard needs a hoodie and dog to lounge around the Normandy and I want the N7 patch for my motorcycle jacket. I secretly need my cyber relationship with Ashly to continue.

Same with me on pre-ordered collectors edition on pc.:thumb:
Yeh your not wrong about Ashly , I'm glad that she comes back with shepard to fight the Reapers in ME3. I save all my save game files so i can import it to ME3 to carry on what i left off.

I want the N7 patch for my motorcycle jacket.
cool  show us a pic when you get N7 patched on your motorcycle jacket , now that's going to look wicked.

Hey All!

Thanks for all the replies and enthusiasm! I just played the ME3 demo and I loved the Cerberus blue as well. As soon as I can get a hold of the right files I will pull out the skins and add them so you can choose either.

To the Mac users...sorry I didn't know that Pepakura wasn't available for Mac. I will post a pdf printout shortly.

Also i forgot that the version of the build i posted doesn't have some of the finer fold lines. I will be posting 3 more files. PDF build with and without subtle fold lines and the Pepakura file with subtle fold lines as well.

If you feel like building some re-inforcement for it, by all means have at it! :) However i've built models on this scale before and from my experience it all depends on your methods and materials. Thickness of cardstock, type of glue used and such. However i'm not opposed to suggestions, however I will admit i'm not good enough with 3d modeling yet to create new structurs to an interal existing structure.
