This song,to me, seems like it wraps up my life. I listen to it when I am happy, and when I am sad. Saint Saens was 70 when he wrote it at the turn of the century (1907-10, I believe). I am trying to teach myself small parts of this on the Violin. I know I'll never get it, my 11 year old loves it just as much, he could do it. I hope this isn't off topic but in a way, because of what we have written, it seems to fit. Itamar Zorman plays on a 1737 Pietro Guarneri violin from the private collection of Yehuda Zisapel. The video quality is lacking but the sonic beauty is all there. I have heard this played by many other but keep coming back to it. He really plays this song beautifully. Guarneri and Stradivari were both taught by the same masters and were contemporaries of each other
