Inky has graciously allowed us to host his beautiful, simple, elegant memorial to the men of the U.S.S. Arizona. The model is effective, simple, and very touching. I think it would make a great picture frame, table display, and educational piece. It is wonderful.

Sorta mixed. Was there to save the marriage (didn't work) 2nd time. First time was happier. Standing over an historical site like this brought tears to my eyes. Same thing happened at the green in Lexington. Knowing the history of a spot and then actually see it....

I am an emotional person. I can be quick to anger, yet, I can easily cry, seeing these memorials and feeling something left there of all the souls who perished. I stop and look at everyone I can and let whatever flows from me flow. I find I take more back than I leave. So they are there teaching us, I should say, I am getting something out of them.

Glad to hear I'm not the only emotional male. Historical sites, a beautiful picture, a wonderful piece of music, even a good story telling, will bring a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye. And I am not ashamed to have others see it. My late Father taught me that a man shows emotion rather than hide it. So indebted to him!

I am the same way, a good movie whether it be happy or sad. a good song, story. I am not afraid to show it either.

This song,to me, seems like it wraps up my life. I listen to it when I am happy, and when I am sad. Saint Saens was 70 when he wrote it at the turn of the century (1907-10, I believe). I am trying to teach myself small parts of this on the Violin. I know I'll never get it, my 11 year old loves it just as much, he could do it. I hope this isn't off topic but in a way, because of what we have written, it seems to fit. Itamar Zorman plays on a 1737 Pietro Guarneri violin from the private collection of Yehuda Zisapel. The video quality is lacking but the sonic beauty is all there. I have heard this played by many other but keep coming back to it. He really plays this song beautifully. Guarneri and Stradivari were both taught by the same masters and were contemporaries of each other
