Eagle Transporter Space 1999

Hi,
after a summer break its now time to present my latest model the Eagle Transporter from the tv series space 1999. The frame of the model is made of more than 300 paper-pipes. These parts were not that much easy, but the most difficult parts are the pod an the small thrusters at the legs. For the pod I used a lot of cardstock and the little thrusters are only buildable with a magnifying glass and a tweezer. Here are some pics of the model with the first part of my projected diorama.

regards Loenf

One cool ship for sure. I would have tried paper straws, ( in other words cheated?), I don't think I could roll that many tubes. Magnificent build!

It last a long time, but when i saw the result I thought there is no other way to build this model by rolling little paper tubes. Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' Keep movin', movin', movin'..........

Mine, too. Once I get the nerve to attempt it.

To me, it's like that Polish Millennium Falcon: very cool and well done, and it scares the stuffing out of me!

Wow

A beautiful build loenf. I never really cared for the show, but the ship is a classic, and one of those one-of-a-kind designs. I hope to build this one day as well. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your excellent build.

Sure that's true, that ship is a classic and still in this time a beauty.
When I was a small boy( a long, long time ago ) I watched it, they should do like Galactica a remake SPACE-2022???

Excellent job Loenf.

That Moon Buggy is awesome! Is that your own design? Can I have one! Your diorama and case will serve you well for many years, if not decades!

Hi and thanks,
the Moon Buggy is also in the download section of the Eagle Transporter Forum available. You just have to scale it down. There is just one part I changed, the tires, they are scratchbuilt. I took cardstock and toothpicks to construct the wheels.

Excellent work there. Glad the tubes in the upper truss didn't burn you out before you could finish that masterpiece.
