well, thats how far ive gotten so far,its gone quite well i think, only a few things i should have done differently(order of assyembly) but i am quite happy with what i have done for now.
did not know this was the original proposal for the BSG viper till i read it in a thread on hear(cool!). also never realized it had so many guns(awsome!).
when i watched the show as a kid i remember close ups when they were shootin and it always just showed one gun ,so i alway thought it just had one in each "sponsoon?".
the things you learn.
thanks for lookin

not really fast, this is a week or so of builden for a few minutes at night in the living room. the last pic shows all the tools i use-protractor,for measurin n cuttin straight lines, piece of copper tube for rolling curves, curved scissors for big cuts, paperclip for really tight rolls, the little pizza cutter looking thing is a pattern tracer from the sewing craft that i went n ground off all the studs n gave it a slight round over to score lines, then my trusty x-acto knife with a #11 blade, a small rat tail jewlers file for curved, rounded parts, i find the teeth from the file hold good on the paper n let you make a good tight roll, the black handle hobby knife is a old one that cant cut air,but i rounded it further with sandpaper to score little lines the pizza cutter cant do. i know it looks like a bottle of elmers wood glue but it aint, i ran out of that a long time ago, i now refill it with tightbond(i get it for free from work). and yes that is a can of beer on the right.

yeah im a big fan of hers, but since i got married i only get to have about a third of the posters n paintings of her that i have on the walls.(dang wife).
think i got some parts not placed right, engine nacelles, part 37 is not filling in between them as it should.may have to work some paper-fu on it.

Great job. Thanks for your tips and tricks. I always like to learn new ways to build models.

You are doing a very good job on this model.
This was my very first kit model. I too had a few problems, but I was able to figure everything out.

BTW, are you going to build any of the other variants?

Keep up the GREAT work.

I have looked over your photos. Everything (from what I can see) looks OK. The best advise I can give right now is, either take your time with the model, or you can reprint the parts sheets that you need and stat the project over again.
You are doing a good job so far.
My first time going through this model, was not that good. I had major gaps and I too have major alignment problems.

Very nice, better then my first thunderfighter. My second Thunderfighter, scaled to about 1:18 with a tandem cockpit, although it has been languishing....

1:18 scale?

1:18 scale? I would love to see some pic's and know how you printed it out in such a large scale. I did a build of this model on the Papar Modelers forum last winter/spring in 1:24 scale. I had a lot of trouble with the nose cones. I am currently building a new ship and converting into a flying model rocket powered with Estes rocket motors.
