Well I have completed section 3 (antenna array) and have started section 1. I didn't like how the pieces fit together in section 1 so I did my own modifications.

Instead of building the blocks and then gluing them together (I tried that and it didn't come out well), I built the section as a single piece. Since it is rather large, I used chipboard to line the piece and give it structure. Where the sides curve to the top, I glued a second piece of cardstock to reinforce it since chipboard does not bend well.

With only one end closed up, the piece is sturdy enough to support 1 pound of weight with little to no deformation.

I think we have to introduce another category. Jan's model can never become a "model of the week" or a "model of the month". It is definitely a "model of the year" if not a "model of the decade"!!!! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Well..... I've been on the net since it was nothing more than a communications system, or ordering and supply system for the US Military... I have friends that do CG, I know a few people that I wont name that worked, or work in the business, I've been gaming since "Pong" and I've been collecting models and data files since the beginning of the BBS's, not to mention the fact that if I can't find it, don't have have it and can't buy it, I'll make it, if I have to do it myself, whether in the computer, or by hand. I've been a science fiction fan since I was 6yrs old in 68, so that's the short version of the answer.

determination indeed. :)
