Model Of The Month: "Inspired" Deep Space Exploration Vessel

I think it is cool when people share their inspiration for design. I think George Lucas believes he invented everything in Star Wars.!!

She's looking cool too. I like the idea that the ship could land. Which means some ancillary vehicles? :)

Why don't you come up with a few little Land vehicles that can be deployed once the ship has landed?

That's an interesting proposal. I don't know if I have the creativity for that. Give me some parameters to work with. Does it have to have wheels?

Considering the scale of this ship, your looking at vehicles that will only be about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches. so most of the details will be drawn on. as far as wheels, your choice. :)

Congratulations!! I am tossing some concepts around for extra vehicles. Something to land on a planet, and something to buzz around the ship. Just ideas right now.

Herre's the thing, Im going to have the DSEV be an Orbit only craft, no landing. so we need a Landing capaple shuttle with vehicles. (kind of like in Aliens with the Sulaco)

Since moving my Build to this Forum, I have recieved a few PM's asking if I would post an updated View of the entire ship. Please keep in mind, this is STILL a work in progress. Enjoy

Looking great. The front reminds me of War Rocket Ajax from the 80's movie Flash Gordon, the rest is pure original. What program do you use for designing? Re: an earlier post of yours....I don't know the first thing about original skinning, but with a Photoshop cloning tool I can add onto or enhance an existing part.
