Hello, again!

Today I give you the most important ship of the Colonial fleet. A ship of unique design, sleek, mean, powerful. Beautifully concepted, seen in almost every episode. A nightmare to the Cylons, a treat to Galacticans... The PYLON VESSEL!

Yes, I know. When you look at it, you might think, this ship is ... UGLY. DREADFUL. The true reason why the Cylons decided to exterminate mankind. But there is more than meets the eye. I really don't know what this ship was used for, but I think it had only one purpose: to carry the most important and most precious liquid in the whole universe: Fuel for the people in the colonies!

Well now, joking apart. This vessel is part of Coxxon's BSG ship pack. It looks a bit like a tortoise, but it is nicely textured (as always), an easy build and it makes the paper fleet larger.

The primitive structure of the pylons caused a little cosmetic problem though: They seemed so easy to me that I wanted to get them ready in one eve. In that hurry I forgot to cut off the flaps. As a result the glueing lines on all pylons are clearly visible... wall1 I will add some wire to cover them up.

I hope the model will be added to the download section soon. Meanwhile enjoy the pics (don't know why but they turned out a bit dark; it looks better in reality)! CU!

You did a very good job on building it. I liked the signs taht you put on it.
To be fair and honest, I do not remember ever seeing it in any of the episodes, but I do have to say (even though it is not sleak in any fashion,) it is quite interesting and I will be adding it to my collection.
Thank you for another wonderful model to add to the fleet.

Congratulations

Nice work on this one Revell-Fan. It's great to see someone else taking on some of these ships. Is there another ship-pack available? This ship was not part of the ship-pack I was working from.

Cheers,

Steve

Thank you very much! I am glad you like it.

skupilkinson made a fleet chart of the Ship Pack vessel. He posted it here:

http://www.zealot.com/forum/showpost.php?p=749870&postcount=24

If you dig around some more you will find a CG pic of the ship later in that thread ("Pyl.jpg").

I don't know if there are any more vessels available. I am working on Colonial One's prototype now (AWESOME!!!) and I still have taken a close look at the Pegasus. I'll post any updates on the "Jay is lonely" thread.

CU there! :wave::wave::wave:

BTW, Nothing announced a small and a big version of Cloud 9. They should be in the downloads section, however, I cannot find them. Could you tell me where I could get them, please?

Alternative part: Engines firing!

Hello, there!

I have sent all files to the administrator to be added to the download section. To shorten the wait I give you an alternative part, just in case you would like to build it with an engine glow. Have fun!

Hey RF, I scanned through and found the pic you were referring to but that didn't help. When I went to download your model I noticed that you said the mesh came from the sketchup warehouse, not the ship pack. So I guess it wasn't ever part of the pack, which is why I don't have it :thumb:.

As for the Cloud 9, I've no idea. I'm sure it was in the downloads at one point, but there have been several changes at Zealot over the years and it could have gotten lost or something. I suggest you send a PM to Nothing and ask if he can re-post the files. I still don't have them myself.

Regards,

Steve

Whoops!

Hello, Steve!

I think you are right!!! :eek:ops:

Skupilkinson posted the pic of the Pylon Vessel here:
http://www.zealot.com/forum/showpost.php?p=771046&postcount=604
and you see the PylVes on various other pics by him (the PylVes is the tiny ship in the right bottom corner of his ship chart; there's another pic showing Colonial One right beside one big pylon of the PylVes, too).

This and all my other sources made me believe that this vessel was part of the ship pack. Well, if this is not the case, let's say that this model comes from the authors of the Ship Pack. I'm still wondering why Skupilkinson added this ship to his chart.....

Anyway, I didn't and don't want to give false credit or to insult anyone in any form. If I am wrong concerning the author or the source, please notify me and I will correct everything or remove the files if desired. I have already corrected the info in the download file to make things clear.

CU!

Zealot, we've got a problem!

:v8:

I noticed that the download file doesn't look the way it should. There is a mistake in the instructions and some pages are sorted in the wrong order. I have sent a revised version of my files to the admin and asked him to replace the existing file by the new (and hopefully flawless) one.

I apologize for any inconvenience and ask you to replace the file you have by the corrected file when it is available.

Thank you very much.

Have a nice weekend though!:wave::wave:

Sweet! This is one of the few models I don't have in my resin built fleet of ships. Well done with the paint job.
Thank you! The best thing is: This is really a canon vessel. You can see it in the mini series when the civil ships assemble right before they jump to Ragnar station. BTW, is there a way to see your fleet?
