Warhammer 40K Vulture

While downloading the drawings for the Baneblade, I noticed on the right margin the download for the Vulture. This was a lark and I practiced on this model and changed some of the rules for the build. It came out rather nice. I sprayed it with gray primer and weathered the model.

Very nice mods!! Totally sweet. Is that the Vulture model that is just plain white? I have that one, but I haven't built it yet. I also have the Valkyrie which looks really nice. I haven't built that one either, and I'm not sure where I got it.

Yes, that is the one. I used grey primer and weathered it. I also used paper Q-Tips for the missiles and the bombs, then I filed the rocket points and sanded the bombs round. The Valkerie is in the download section. Check on flarebaffled for build pointers.

This is the beauty of paper models. You can mess about and do conversions and so on without hte fear of messing up a £50 Forgeworld resin job.

a good result

Thank you FlareBaffled for your comment and check out your Dreadnaught and Rhino on my previous post. I am working on the itch to tackle your Baneblade.

Beautimus! The angle of the wings reminds me of the Hammerhead fighters from Space: Above & Beyond. I've also never seen the white model built before, so I had no clear idea what it would look like. Not bad, not bad at all.

Hey Silveroxide,
Are you military? I just noticed the patch, and your location. I used to be there with the 82nd ABN. Now I'm a reservist with Civil Affairs.

I am retired Army former Ranger from the company days, pre-Battalion. my last duty was with 1SOCOM. The patch has been laid to rest, the new one is an arrow head

Thank You

I didn't serve in the military. I didn't think I was tough enough. Now that I know better, I'm almost too old.

But every night, as I look at my little son asleep safe in his bed, I thank you both, and those like you.

Because of who you are and what you do, my little family can sleep safe at night.

Thank you so much for that.

Thank you

On behalf of my battle brothers and sisters I thank you, and may our next commander use us prudently and not place our men in jeopardy for the sake of personal politics. but enough of that, lets get to back to PAPER MODELING. By the way "K" is your current house build of paper stock?

I've seen this canopy before. Looks good.

Thanks for the comment Cyclonus. Presently I am in the middle of a build thread on the sister site, papermodelers, But I plan to do a thread here on Warhammer only models using my techniques. I will probably start near the end of the month. See you then.:thumb:

although its very different from the GW Vulture, it looks nice. i can see alot of effort was put into it.

I did not like that big exposed fan behind the cockpit so I built a framework and skin around it. The fan is there but covered up.

hehe... i kinda like the whole exposed fan and engine, gives the impression of raw power to me.

then again it might just be me.
would love to own one, but not at GW/FW prices. sigh.
