You certainly don't let the grass grow under your feet for sure my friend... what speed  and coming together nicely :thumb: The engines will keep you happy for a while, although i haven't seen the parts count for them, you have four to go at - so should be fun. Keep up the good work

Here are a couple more shots for the night Getting tired been at this scince 630 this morning it is turning out real well touch up here and there the aroe gloss dope is doing itrs job protecting the finish and givceing it addirional strength. useing silk span tissue works well for hideing the joining seams and airbrushing when done, you never know where the seams were. here are the attachmnets fellas.

coming along very well! Thanks for the pics and telling us about your technique :)
Chris

Thanks Chris

It is comeing along very well today I will be constructing the engine asemblies. Also I will be doing some final touch up and tuneing and one more coat of 50 50 areo gloss dope the detail parts will take a longer time then building the model itself. I will be vacuforming all of the clear parts before hand I will have to make master molds of the canopy and turrets make the prop blades from plastic. I have a diogram of the beaching gear for this flyingboat. I mounted a wood block pre drilled for a in flight stand to mounted on the bottom of the fuselodge for flight display and on the ground this is where the beaching gear will come in. So I will have a lot of work.

Normally this kit would take me 3 to 4 weeks to build I have done most of it in 68 hours steady build. I am anxious to build this kit because I dont have a sunderland flying boat and outside the Mighty Mars flyingboat it is my favorite. also alot of the modlers in this here forum are anxious as well. The next attachmnets will show even more better improvements to this aircraft. so today I will construct the engines I will chuck up some stock on my trusty lathe and make engine cylinders wraped with fuse wire,

A wonderful build of a wonderful aircraft.I have walked around and through the ones at Hendon and Duxford and the size of them is really impressive as is the armament that gave them there Porcupine nickname. To see such a well built model of this important and beautiful aeroplane come to life is a real pleasure and I hope you find time to explain your method for building the engines.I look forward to seeing more on the Mars prototype as well.

An enlightening build. I'm impressed with with your
technique of air brushing and the use of silkspan for
covering join areas. I'm also awaiting your next
project on the Mars. Ron

Back at again the Sunderland is almost done I have a little more work to do, took time off from it to finish up on my PB2M MARS. All 4 engine assemblies have been installed and painted, I have all 4 engine cowl front installed too.

Next phase will be the floats and props and install the cockpit turrets rigging and she is good to go. I made the beaching gear painted them Red. made them from wood and veneered them with card stock, the tires are rubber O rings Old Porkiepine will done by tommorow evening I should have built her longer than I should but I was haveing fun like a child with a new toy.

The very last procedure will be the weathering with the airbrush, Here below are up dated attachments
